QUINCY, MA — A Boston man died in the hospital after his wife stabbed him in Quincy on the Fourth of July. Shortly before 7 p.m., officers were called to the 10th block of South Central Avenue after Biqiang He, 55, was stabbed, according to police. He was rushed to Quincy Medical Center before being taken to Boston Medical Center for surgery, but succumbed to his injuries Sunday.
Quincy police arrested He's wife, Huixian Lu, 46, of Boston. Lu was arraigned Friday and charged with armed assault with intent to murder. She pleaded not guilty and was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Friday, July 12.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has accepted the case for autopsy, but that process has not been completed as of 12:30 p.m., Monday. Prosecutors said they will examine the existing assault charge following He's death and the information revealed by the autopsy before more charges are filed at Friday's court hearing.
