Gas Leak Forces Evacuation
Eight people were told to evacuate at around 2:30 a.m. after a broken gas line was reported on West Squantum Street.

QUINCY, MA — Residents were forced to leave their homes during the early hours of Friday morning after a large gas leak was discovered.
Eight people were told to evacuate at around 2:30 a.m. after a broken gas line was reported on West Squantum Street, according to WBZ. Two more left on their own.
Residents were allowed to return at 9 a.m. The road from Harvard Street to Granite Avenue in Milton was closed. The westbound side of the street reopened at 8 a.m. The eastbound side followed at 9:43 a.m.
