Gun Shots Reported in Quincy Road Rage Incident

A man admitted to firing two gun shots after a person allegedly charged him with a knife.

QUINCY, MA — For the second time since Friday, police in Quincy are investigating a report of gun shots.

At about 7:36 p.m. Tuesday night, a woman on Kendrick Avenue told police that she heard a man's voice in her yard, followed by what she believed to be gun shots, according to the Quincy Police Department

A man told police that he was the victim of a road rage incident where a passenger in the suspect's vehicle exited the car and charged at him with a large knife. The man told police that he fired two shots.

Detectives at the scene located two shell casings. No injuries were reported. Police say the man who fired the shots has a valid license to carry firearms. The license was confiscated along with any firearms in his possession..

The investigation is still ongoing. No charges have been announced.
