Man Charged With Assaulting Woman Outside Quincy Center Station

According to police, The suspect became angry at a woman outside the station on Wednesday night before starting to punch her in the face.

QUINCY, MA — Police arrested a man after they said he repeatedly punched a woman outside the Quincy Center MBTA Station.

Miguel Cruz, a homeless man, was charged with assault and battery and walking on the train tracks. He was arraigned in Quincy District Court on Thursday and was released on personal recognizance that he'll return to court in March, the Patriot Ledger reported. According to police, Cruz became angry at a woman outside the station on Wednesday night before starting to punch her in the face. Cruz ran away after a bystander tried to intervene, police told the Patriot Ledger. He was later found inside the station.
