Man Charged With Pleasuring Himself Outside Quincy Restaurants Two Days in a Row
Police say he also pleasured himself while in police custody.

QUINCY, MA — A Quincy man faces charges after allegedly pleasuring himself outside of Quincy restaurants two days in a row, and continuing while in police custody.
James Cooney, 58, faces charges of open and gross lewdness; disorderly conduct; possession of an open container of alcohol; and lewd, wanton and lascivious conduct; according to the Patriot Ledger.
Police were noticed Cooney Thursday afternoon when they ordered him to throw away an illegal strain of synthetic marijuana he was allegedly smoking at the Quincy Center MBTA station.

Moments later, Cooney was seen walking towards the Hancock parking lot after coming out of a convenience store with pornographic magazines. Police found him pleasuring himself behind a dumpster next to Kelly's Cellar. He received a summons and was told to appear in Quincy District Court Monday.
The next day, police responded to a report of a man pleasuring himself on a bench near Bistro Chi on Cottage Avenue. The man was identified as Cooney and police found him with his pants down and in possession of adult magazines, DVDs, and a cell phone. After he was taken into custody, he continued to perform a sex act on himself, police said.

Cooney is due back in court on March 2.
