QUINCY, MA — Massachusetts State Police said a tragedy was likely averted after officers took a truck with an 8-foot pole sticking out off the road. No warning flags or others indicators were attached to the pole as the driver took it through heavy rush hour traffic on Interstate 93 north Friday afternoon, police said. State Police on Facebook dubbed the incident as "the return of "What Could go wrong?" (Truck Team Edition).

Police said the driver was also operating the truck with a revoked license.

"The driver and truck, who were headed to Maine, were taken off the road. Tragedy averted," State Police said on Facebook.
