Lyft Driver Shot At On I-93 In Braintree

The car had a broken rear window and a bullet hole in the rear door.

QUINCY, MA – A Lyft driver reported being shot at on Interstate 93 Tuesday morning, state police said. The motorist flagged a state trooper down on Furnace Brook Parkway in Quincy and said the shooting allegedly occurred around 5:20 a.m. on the northbound side of I-93 in Braintree.

The trooper found a possible bullet hole in the rear door of the victim's car. The rear door window was also broken.

The driver was uninjured.

The suspected shooter was described as a man operating a dark-colored Dodge Charger. An investigation into the incident is ongoing and area police departments are on the lookout for a vehicle matching that description.

Through a statement, Lyft confirmed that the driver worked for them and are ready to assist with the police investigation.
