Quincy Convenience Store Robbed At Gunpoint

Quincy police said a man wielding a semi-automatic handgun held up Everest Market on Standish Avenue.

QUINCY, MA — A Quincy convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night and police have asked for the public's help in locating the robber.

Around 8:35 p.m., police said a man wielding a semi-automatic handgun held up Everest Market on Standish Avenue. Surveillance video released by police showed the man threatening the store clerk and stealing money from the cash register.

Police described the suspect as a 5-foot 10-inch tall black man weighing about 190 pounds. The robber was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with gray paneling under the arms and on the sleeves, black sneakers and gray gloves.

Police said the man escape on foot. Anyone with information is asked to call Quincy police at 617-745-5762.
