Quincy High Schools Earns Silver Medal in U.S. News and World Report’s 2017 Best High School List

Quincy High School and North Quincy High School are among the best in Massachusetts, according to U.S. News and World Report.

QUINCY, MA —Both high schools in Quincy received silver medals for being among the best high schools in Massachusetts, according to the U.S. News and World Report’s 2017 Best High Schools report.

North Quincy High School placed 57th in the state and 1,692 nationally. Quincy High School placed 76th in the state and 2586th nationally. Boston Latin School was named the top high school in Massachusetts.

The rankings good enough for two silver medals. The award is given to 2,109 schools based on their highest college readiness scores.

  • 14:1 student-teacher ratio
  • 32.4 college readiness score
  • 38 percent participate in AP exams
  • 80 percent pass AP exams
  • 86 percent proficiency in math
  • 91 percent proficiency in English
  • 92 percent graduation rate
