Quincy Man Claims 'Ultimate' Lottery Prize

A Quincy man has claimed the 27th $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Ultimate Millions" $30 instant ticket game.

QUINCY, MA — A Quincy man has claimed the 27th $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Ultimate Millions” $30 instant ticket game.

Joe McDonough was recently at Lottery headquarters in Braintree to pick up his prize. He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000. He plans on using a portion of his winnings to take a first class trip to his native Ireland, according to Lottery officials.

The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven on Adams Street in Quincy. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.
