SOUTH BOSTON, MA — A Quincy man was arrested after transit police said he threatened passengers and headbutted a train window.
Around 8 a.m., last Thursday, transit police were called to the Red Line's Andrew Station for a report of man making threats and destroying MBTA property. When officers arrived, they said a train window had a large crack in it that looked like a spider web.
Police searched the train and found Daniel Simmons, 25, of Quincy. Officers asked Simmons if he had anything to do with the broken window. According to police, Simmons said he was speaking to someone on the phone who made him angry, so he decided to headbutt the window. After headbutting the window, passengers said Simmons had threatened them if they told police on him.
