Quincy Medical Center ER Room to Remain Open

QUINCY, MA — The emergency room at the former Qunicy Medical Center will remain open through next year.

Steward Health Care spokesman Jeff Hall told the Patriot Ledger that the emergency room, which is being operated as a satellite ER for Carney Hospital in Dorchester, will keep their doors open past next year.

Quincy Medical Center was closed in 2014 and signed an agreement with the the state Attorney General’s office agreeing to operate the satellite ER until the end of this year.

Hall said the hospital operator is attempting to sell the former hospital property.
