Weymouth Man Shot Near Faxon Commons in Quincy
One man suffering from gun wounds was taken to the hospital.

QUINCY, MA — Police in Quincy are investigating an early morning shooting in Quincy Point.
Friday morning at about 3:16 a.m., officers responded to the area of Southern Artery and South Street by Des Moines Road for reported gun shots. Witnesses told police that they saw a man wearing a white shirt running from the scene. On Des Moines Road, officers located a 24-year-old male who was shot twice in the leg. He was transported to Boston Medical Center. Upon inventorying his property, officers located cash and a plastic bag containing a white powder substance, according to the Quincy Police Department.
Bullet holes were discovered in the victim's vehicle at the entrance to Faxon Commons.

The victim was identified as a Weymouth resident, according to the Patriot Ledger.
Police believe the shooting was not random. It remains under police investigation.
