Dear North Quincy High School Community: I am very sorry to tell you of the sudden passing of one of our North Quincy High School seniors, Liana (Lee Smits) Dararaksmey.   Liana was a beautiful spirit and her smiling and engaging face will be sorely missed in the hallways of North Quincy High School.  We are deeply saddened by the loss of a kind friend and beloved member of our school community.   Our hearts go out to Liana’s family and we will keep them close in our thoughts.   This loss may raise many emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire school, especially our students.  The Quincy Public Schools Crisis Intervention Team is made up of  professionals trained to help with the needs of students, parents, and school personnel at difficult times such as this.  The Crisis Intervention Team will be available tomorrow, Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the North Quincy High School Library.  North Quincy High School Guidance Counselors, along with counselors from Walker Therapeutic Programs and Aspire Health Alliance, will be available for any student who may need or want help or any type of assistance surrounding this loss.   We encourage parents to utilize these resources as well.
