Quincy Santa Needs More Letters Than Wish Lists

QUINCY, MA — Letters are being collected for a skydiving Santa Claus who suffered a broken leg Saturday.

The city's Recreation Department is now accepting get-well cards for Mike Burns, the man who played Saint Nick Saturday. During the city's annual jump, Burns suffered a leg injury and underwent surgery Monday at Boston Medical Center. Burns is reportedly in good condition as of Tuesday afternoon.

Quincy residents John and Andrea Coughlin came up with the idea for the letter campaign, according to the Boston Globe.

Saint Nick wasn't the only one who had trouble making the landing. Three more jumpers missed their target.
