QUINCY, MA — A Quincy woman has a perfect record when it comes to winning lottery prizes. She should probably quit while she's ahead.
Midoriko-Mariam Takeuchi recently claimed a $1 million prize from playing the Massachusetts State Lottery’s $2,500,000 Holiday Magic instant game. She told Lottery officials that the scratch ticket was the first time she's ever purchased a lottery ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at Point Liquors located at 230 Washington St. in Quincy. Takeuchi said she went in to use an ATM machine, saw the new holiday tickets on display, and decided to buy one that happened to be a $1 million winner.
