Results Of Air Test Near Fore River Bridge Not Great, Doctor Says

QUINCY, MA — It's not just those near a proposed compressor station close to the Fore River Bridge who need to be worried about air quality.

In a report revealed at the Fore River Club in Quincy, Dr. Curtis Nordgaard says the chemicals found in the area could easily travel across the South Shore, according to WATD.

He said the two most prominent chemicals were benzene and formaldehyde. a pair of toxic chemicals that can cause cancer with minimal exposure.

Spectra Energy is hoping to place a compressor station close to the Fore River Bridge, near the Weymouth/Quincy line, but the project has been met with large public opposition.
