South Boston Man Faces Drugged Driving Charges in Quincy

Police say David Attardo nearly hit two cars Monday night.

QUINCY, MA — A South Boston man faces charges after allegedly nearly hitting two cars while driving under the influence of drugs in Quincy, police said.

David Attardo, 31, was arrested Monday night charged with drugged driving, speeding, possession of heroin, possession of xanax, operating recklessly so as to endanger, and failure to stop for police ,according to the Patriot Ledger.

Attardo was pulled over at about 6 p.m. after an officer on Quincy Shore Drive noticed his vehicle traveling around 50 mph. During a traffic stop on Braintree Avenue, police allegedly found syringes, a spoon with white residue, and a bag with Xanax pills.

Attardo is scheduled to be arraigned in Qunicy District Court Wednesday.
