With the help of the grant, Quincy can add a soccer field and track facilities to the park, as well as improve the basketball court.

QUINCY, MA — The city was awarded a $400,000 state grant for improvement projects at Kincaide Park. The award is one of 19 grants, totally about $6.4 million, the Baker-Polito Administration awarded on Wednesday.
With the help of the grant, Quincy can add a soccer field and track facilities to the park, as well as make improvements to the basketball court and a splash pad.
The grant supplements the $1 million the city council had already appropriated as part of a $27 million parks bond approved in May 2017, the Patriot Ledger reported. Last month, another $5.3 million was appropriated for the park improvements.
