2 Men Charged With Stealing $600 Worth Of Items From Reading Store: PD
Police said they found the men with several additional items they believe were stolen from a store in another community.
READING, MA — Two men are facing allegations that they stole more than $600 worth of merchandise from a Home Depot, according to Reading police.
Police were called to the store at 60 Walkers Brook Drive on a report of a theft at 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 2.
Store employees reported to officers that two men walked out of the store with more than $600 worth of roofing rolls and then fled in a black pickup truck.

Police obtained a description of the pickup truck and shared it with surrounding towns. Stoneham police stopped that pickup truck on Main Street in their town and contacted Reading police.
Reading police identified both the suspects and recovered the stolen roofing rolls, as well as several items that police believe were stolen from a store in another community.

Both suspects, a 48-year-old Dorchester man and a 50-year-old Malden man, will be summonsed to court at a later date to face one count of larceny under $1,200.
