2016 Multiple Sclerosis Walk in Wakefield

There is just over one month left until the 2016 Multiple Sclerosis Walk in Wakefield on June 18, 2016. I am writing this to ask you for your support and contribution to a great cause that is very personal to me.

My mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about 6 years ago. It is something I watch her struggle with every single day, so I wanted to find a way to get involved. I started Team MB as a way for myself and our family/friends to show their support for her.

I started Team MB for the 2014 Wakefield Walk, and I am proud to say our team was one of the top fundraising teams overall in both 2014 and 2015. I am hoping Team MB continues to grow each year, and that I can use my best fundraising efforts to help make a difference!

Multiple sclerosis affects millions of people, including our co-workers, friends, families and loved ones. That's why I registered for Walk MS. Walk MS is where we connect and each step we take brings us closer to a world free of MS.

Every hour in the United States, someone is newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms vary from person to person. One person may experience fatigue and numbness, while another may experience dizziness and have loss of balance. Local Walk MS events are connecting communities to end MS forever. This event raises critical funds to support local programs and cutting-edge research. Your participation puts us closer to realizing our promise to STOP MS in its tracks, RESTORE lost function and END MS forever. Ending MS means no one will receive an MS diagnosis again.
