- , 226 Main St., North Reading. The 'Shoe will have an Irish-themed night today, starting at 4 p.m. and going strong until midnight. Enjoy a boiled Irish dinner, Irish stepdancers and other entertainment. Gillian Casey commented on our Facebook page that the stepdancers are "amazing and definitely worth coming out to see."
- , 303 Main St., North Reading. The newly opened Great American Tavern will host its St. Pat's Day Bash, with green beer, corned beef, and entertainment from Chatham Sessions. Festivities begin at 9 p.m. and end at 11:45 p.m.
- , 178 Main St., North Reading. Even though it's St. Patrick's Day, today also is a national holiday for college basketball fanatics. Today marks the start of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. Catch a game and a meal at this Main Street establishment.
- Piccadilly Pub, 60 Main St., North Reading. Stop by Piccadilly Pub tonight for some trivia. Contests begin at 9 p.m.
- Harrington's, 17 Water St., Wakefield. This one obviously isn't in North Reading, but reader Shannon Moynihan suggested it on our Facebook page. She notes that it has two floors of traditional Irish food and entertainment.
