Today is Monday, April 4. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. More April showers: According to the National Weather Service, rain and snow, possibly mixed with sleet, are possible. It will become all rain after 3 p.m., according to the forecast. The high temperature will be near 45 degrees.
  2. On the agenda: The Board of Selectmen meet at 7 p.m. in Room 14 at . Also at 7 p.m., the Parks and Recreation Committee meets in Room 5 at Town Hall.
  3. Happenings at the library: The Star Readers Book Club meets from 4-4:45 p.m. at the. Sweet Dreams Story Time meets from 6-6:45 p.m. in the Library Activity Room. All ages are welcome; come dressed in your pajamas.
  4. We’re looking for North Reading’s next Whiz Kid: Has your child done something outstanding at school or in the community lately? We’re looking to profile kids who have done well in the community, won awards at school or in sports, or have unique talents or hobbies. Submit your nomination to editor Matt Bashalany at matthew.bashalany@patch.com, and we may feature your child in our Whiz Kid column each Monday at 10 a.m.
