- Seasonable Thursday: According to the National Weather Service, today will feature mostly sunny skies, with a high near 47 degrees. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 32, according to the forecast.
- On the agenda: The Zoning Board of Appeals meets in Room 14 at at 7 p.m.
- Navigating Medicare: The , in conjunction with the senior center, is holding a series of seminars for adults who are caring for their aging parents. Today’s session will feature navigating Medicare, Medicaid and insurance. The sessions are free and open to everyone.
- Gas guzzling: If you are looking for the cheapest gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded gas, head to the Stop & Shop station on Main Street. As of Monday, a gallon of regular gas cost $3.56, according to AAA Southern New England.
- Dominos falling: On this date in 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower coins one of the most famous Cold War phrases when he suggests the fall of French Indochina to the communists could create a "domino" effect in Southeast Asia, according to History.com. The so-called "domino theory" dominated U.S. thinking about Vietnam for the next decade.
