5 Things You Need to Know Today: March 16
Your daily digest of what's going on in North Reading.

Today is Wednesday, March 16. Here are five things you need to know:
- Rainy day: According to the National Weather Service, there will be a chance of rain and snow before 10 a.m., and then rain after that. The high temperature will be around 46 degrees. Little or no snow accumulation is expected, the forecast said.
- Not so fast: The state will be replacing 14 bridges in the Medford stretch of Interstate 93 this summer in a project being called 93 Fast 14. Work will take place during weekends in June, July and August, according to the state Department of Transportation. Crews are conducting some preparatory work this week between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., so if you are traveling to or from Boston during those times, expect delays.
- Scrapbooking fun: Deanna Czarniecki, an independent Stampin’ Up demonstrator from Tewksbury, will lead a workshop on creating a scrapbook page on April 7 at 7 p.m. at the . Participants are asked to bring three to five photos with the same theme. They can also bring their own paper cutter, if they have one. Deanna will supply scrapbook paper, paper cutters, adhesives and embellishments. Registration is required. Call 978-664-4942 to register. The event is free and open to the public.
