  3. Breaking the bank on gas? Gas prices have shown drivers little mercy in recent weeks. According to AAA Southern New England, the cheapest gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded gas in North Reading as of Monday was at the on Main Street, at $3.50.
  4. College fair: A college fair will be held for students with learning differences at Woburn Memorial High School, 88 Montvale Ave. in Woburn, from 7-9 p.m. More than 15 colleges and schools will be in attendance.
  5. A OK: On this date in 1839, the letters “OK” are first published in The Boston Morning Post and quickly made their way into the everyday speech of people in the United States, according to History.com. The letters were meant as an abbreviation for “oll correct,” a slang misspelling of “all correct.” At the time, it was popular for people to misspell words intentionally and then use the abbreviations as slang, according to History.com.
