55 Walker's Brook Drive: Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group

The insurance and benefiting side of Reading's office building.

Sentinel Benefits and Financial group is just across the hall from at 55 Walker's Brook Drive, but this company has nothing to do with making coffee.

They specialize in insurance brokerage, employer benefit administration, retirement plan services and investment advisory. This industry provider serves 2,500 businesses in the nation and employs over 150 people. 

According to the company's website, the new business got off the ground over a Carnevale family dinner where a father and his two sons explored the idea of providing dependable employer benefit services of large providers, but in a more personalized way.

The family of three had only an IBM computer and phone in their basement, but that didn't stop John, Jim and Anthony Carnevale from beginning their journey into the business world.

Their plan worked, and today the company has been around for over two decades and counting.

Now, the company still rests its' identity on that "smaller company, big time service" attitude. They pride themselves on not being too big to provide tailored solutions specific to the client's needs.

Although small, they offer more high-profile benefits to clients through their partnerships with major financial institutions such as Fidelity, Pershing, John Hancock, etc.
