Acclaimed photographer Russell Adams Passes Away
Adams was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2007 for his excellent photojournalism work in professional tennis.

Russell H. Adams died June 28. He was 86.
A resident of Reading for over 60 years. Born in Worcester, MA on July 30, 1930. Son of Ralph Harrison Adams and Marion (Crooks) Adams.
Beloved husband of the late Betty Jo (Gibson) Adams. Russell & Betty Jo worked together in their photography business. Russell was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2007 for his excellent photojournalism work in professional tennis. He was a member of the Good Samaritan Lodge AF & AM in Reading and the Knights Templar. He was also a member of Reading Priscilla Chapter #52 Order of Eastern Star. Russ proudly served his country during the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by a son Richard H. Adams and his wife Linda (Foley) of Denver, CO. Grandsons, Richard H. Adams, Jr. and Robert James Adams. He was predeceased by brothers Donald Livermore and Clayton Adams and a sister Gail Prouty.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Douglass, Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Friday July 14 at 1 p.m. Burial is private.
