Albert Maria Passes Away

Longtime Reading resident served in United States Army during World War II.

Albert Maria of Reading passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Winchester Hospital. He was 94 years of age.

Born on January 7, 1923 in Holyoke, Albert is the loving son of the late Antonio Maria and Delphina (Almeida) Maria. Albert was a warm and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Albert was a dedicated import/export specialist in the International Trade Industry for many years. He loved his family and especially loved spending time with loved ones.

A member of the "Greatest Generation", Albert proudly defended our freedom by serving as a Private in the United States Army during World War II.

Albert is the beloved husband of Jennie (Rusinowski) Maria. He is the devoted father of Diane Horner and her husband Albert, Judy Dahle and her husband Ralph and David Maria and his wife Wini Pisarz. The cherished grandfather of Trevor Balsley and his wife Julia, Tara Broido and her husband Steve, Hayley Dahle and her husband Adam Womer and Casey Dahle and his wife Xiuxiu, Albert is the adoring great grandfather of 5.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Albert's Eternal Life was held Friday, Dec. 15th in the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. Reading.
