Alberta Muise Passes Away

Longtime Reading resident worked as a cashier for Atlantic Food Market

READING - Alberta M. (Doucette) Muise, 98, longtime resident of Reading, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the Wingate Nursing Home in Reading. Alberta was the loving wife of the late Roswell J. Muise.

Alberta grew up in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. In her early years, she worked as a cashier for Atlantic Food Market and when she started her family, Alberta dedicated herself to her home. She was a longtime volunteer at Winchester Hospital and parishioner at St. Athanasius Church in Reading. Alberta was a fabulous knitter and talented at crocheting.

She is the beloved mother of Judith Eldred and her husband Paul Eldred, Jr. of Wichita, Kansas and the late John V. Muise. Grandmother of Heather Muise of New York. Sister of the late Norma V. (Doucette) Barter and her husband Russell Barter. She was also the aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a Graveside Service on Monday, Sept. 24th, at Forest Glen Cemetery at 10 am.
