READING, MA — The town announced that the playground, basketball courts, pathways and surrounding areas at Birch Meadow Park reopened Friday.
The reopening follows completion of the second phase of the park project.
Grass areas will remain roped off for the next several weeks as newly seeded grass areas need time to be established.
The town said that weather conditions and scheduling challenges affected the project's timeline.
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held in June.
