• 🏞️ Conservation Commission 9-23-26 AI Recap (readingrecap.com) — Reading's Conservation Commission just approved key funding for Town Forest water-line work and major tree maintenance at Maillet, Sommes, & Morgan, while continuing several neighborhood projects to October 14. Commissioners also flagged a very tight conservation budget and set dates for an October 10 cleanup, October 17 Bare Meadow walk, and November 7 Pumpkin Smash at the high school.
   

• Obituary: Robert Biette (pressherald.com) — Longtime former Reading resident Robert N. Biette, who spent more than 35 years here while working at Raytheon in nearby Andover, has died at age 98. His life bridged service in the Korean War, a long engineering career, and later community leadership and craftsmanship in Maine. Family and friends will gather for a memorial service in Brunswick on October 23.
