READING, MA — Colonial Chorus Players will celebrate 65 years of community theater with a fundraising gala next month, according to a statement.
The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 7, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Teresa's Prime Steakhouse in North Reading.
The evening will feature a cocktail hour, dinner, live entertainment, raffles and dancing. Cast members from "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" will also perform.
Tickets cost $65 per person.
Proceeds will support the theater group's operating expenses, future productions, technical needs and maintenance of its longtime home, the Old Hose House Theatre in Reading.
"After 65 years, we have so much to celebrate and to look forward to," Colonial Chorus Players President Luisiana Cruz said in a statement. "This gala is an opportunity to celebrate the incredible community that has made CCP what it is."
Guests are encouraged to wear semi-formal or cocktail attire, with optional 1960s-inspired clothing or sapphire blue to mark the anniversary.
Tickets and donations are available at givebutter.com/CCPFundraisingGala.
