Recently, Girl Scouts from North Reading took part in a MEdia Journey weekend at Cedar Hill in Waltham, MA. Four girls from North Reading joined with 60 other girls from other troops in Girl Scouts of Eastern MA to complete this Award. This Journey has Cadette Girl Scouts (6-8 grade) look for the ME in media. To earn this award they had to complete three parts: they learned about media in their world and the influence it has, they learned the importance of having media reflect the realities of their world, and how they personally can commit a new perspective on media.
