Joshua Eaton Elementary Joins Organizations Across N.E. to Run Book Drive

Got Books Inc. of Wilmington, the leading used-book collection and re-use company in New England, announced that 100 of its non-profit partners are running book collection drives in January and February.

Reading's Joshua Eaton Elementary School joins the non-profit organization and others across New England from Ogunquit, ME to Woonsocket, RI, to raise money by having their community donate their unwanted books, DVDs, CDs and records.

Like Joshua Eaton Elementary School, each of the 100 locations is the host for a Got Books, Inc. purple and yellow “Donate Books” collection container that operates 24/7 as a fundraising program for the host.

During January and February Got Books, Inc. of Wilmington is giving each participant a 10% bonus to their fundraising revenue. Therefore, the book drive brings the host more books and more money paid from Got Books for those books, and as a participant in the book drive program, Got Books will bonus each participant a 10% above their earned revenue.

“This is a win, win, win for everybody. The consumer wins because they have a place to drop off books that will be repurposed, the non-profit container host wins because they raise extra money for their organization, and Got Books wins because more books come into the re-use stream”, comments Bob Ticehurst founder and president of Got Books, Inc. “We have nearly 500 containers with locations in every state in New England and more being placed each week. We’ve distributed $1.4 million back to those non-profits in easy fundraising money. With the success of this program, we’ll make this an annual drive.”
