14-year old Kyle Mungenast of Reading has been cast in North Shore Music Theatre’s (NSMT) production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Kyle will be playing the role of ‘Friedrich’ in the professional production that will run June 11 – June 23.
An eighth grader at Coolidge Middle School, Kyle has appeared in his school productions of The Wizard of Oz as ‘Tin Man’, Cinderella as ‘Baker’ and in Annie as ‘Henry Morgenthau.’ He also appeared in Five Start Theater Company’s production of Camp Rock. He is also a member of the Select Chorus, Advanced Chorus, Jazz Band, School Band and Chime Chorus at Coolidge Middle School.
One of the world's most beloved musicals, THE SOUND OF MUSIC is directed by James Brennan. When a novice nun proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain. The show's finale is one of the most thrilling and inspirational ever presented in the theatre.
