With Another Swastika Found, RED Meets Thursday

Coolidge is site of latest graffiti in Reading.

The Reading Embraces Diversity community group will meet Thursday night and unfortunately they'll have much to discuss. The news of the latest swastika found at Coolidge last Thursday, in addition to the one found at the library, is proof there's more work to do.

On the RED Facebook page the group has responded with an idea to create a rock garden at the library.

"As parents today in Reading hear about yet another anti-Semitic symbol found in a school, we wanted to let everyone know of one way R.E.D. and several other groups have gathered together to counter the hate symbol found at the library. The Friends of Reading Public Library, R.E.D., and the Human Relations Advisory Committee (HRAC) have collaborated on a kindness rock garden to be hosted at the Library. Join all of these groups on November 15 from 12-8 to create your own counter message and place it out front for the community to see."
