Are you an aspiring babysitter or looking for a babysitting job? Would you like to gain confidence and learn skills important for taking care of young children? The Burbank YMCA is offering a babysitting course run by Winchester Hospital Center for Healthy Living.

Date: Saturday, February 6th

Time: 10am-4pm, open to ages 10-14

Location: Burbank YMCA, Classroom 6

This is a one-day program designed to teach the fundamentals of safety and child care. The course will provide instruction on treating basic first aid emergencies, performing choke-saving procedures, how to enter the emergency medical system, handling fire and safety emergencies, age appropriate activities, and telephone techniques. All participants must bring the following to class: a doll to practice diapering and feeding, a bag lunch, and if possible a babysitting kit. Information about the babysitting kit is on the back of this flyer. Booklet materials will be provided. This class is most appropriate for children 10 - 14 years of age.

Fee: $85 for members and $95 for nonmembers
