Bernard is a Finalist to Lead Amesbury Schools

North Reading High School principal is one of five finalists.

North Reading High School Principal Jon Bernard is a finalist for the Amesbury school superintendent job.

According to the Newburyport Daily News, Bernard is one of five finalists out of more than 30 applicants. The other applicants are Susan Ambrozavitch, the assistant superintendent and high school principal in Danvers; Michele Robinson, superintendent of Odyssey Charter Schools in Clark County, NV.; Joel Ritchie, zone superintendent of Charlotte, NC, public schools; and Salah Khelfaoui, assistant superintendent of schools in Arlington, VA, according to the newspaper.

The applicants are hoping to replace Superintendent G. David Jack. The Amesbury School Committee expects to make a decision later this month.
