
George Robert "Bob" Sewall of Reading, Massachusetts passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, March 16.
Bob was born in Boston in 1930. He was the loving son of the late George W. and Grace (Cooney) Sewall. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Mary Louise (Hession) Sewall of Reading. He was the loving father of Maria Cabeceiras and her husband John of North Attleboro, MA, Jacqueline Fleury and her husband Victor of North Andover, MA, Mark Sewall and his wife Jessica of Annandale, VA and Michael Sewall and his wife Donna of Andover, MA. Bob was the cherished grandfather of Christina, Alexander, Jack, David, Grace, Ella, Ava and Sophia. Bob served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He was a surveyor and worked on many large construction projects throughout New England. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, spending time in his beautiful yard and being with his family.
Funeral from the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Friday, March 23 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30 am. Burial with military honors to follow at Wood End Cemetery, Reading. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories on Thursday evening from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
