Bomb Threat At Reading Library And Town Hall, Officials Investigating

READING, MA — Authorities are warning community members to stay away from the area as they investigate a bomb threat at Reading Public Library and Reading Town Hall.

The threat was made by email directly to the library Saturday at 9:46 a.m., according to Reading police and fire officials.

The library was immediately evacuated, officials said. The town hall is closed on the weekends.

Massachusetts State Police's bomb squad was called in and the situation is ongoing.

"Updates will be made as they become available," police and fire officials said.
