The 21st Annual Tree Lighting Celebration on North Reading Common will take place on Sunday, November 29th from 2:00 to 4:30.
This free event, hosted by the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce, is a long-time holiday favorite drawing over a thousand people from the community.
All activities are free thanks to the support of sponsoring local businesses and Chamber Memberships that cover the costs. Special thanks to our Signature sponsor, Reading Cooperative Bank.
We've added some new activities this year, along with some of your previous favorites:
- Trolley rides (stops at the Common, Reading Cooperative Bank, and free offsite parking at the high school)
- Petting zoo
- Hayrides
- Holiday inflatable stroll
- Free hot chocolate
- Photos with Santa at Reading Cooperative Bank
- Face painting and game area
- Tours of the Damon Tavern
- Live performances from local dance, stage and martial arts studios
- DJ music all afternoon until Santa turns on the lights
- And more!
The big event happens when Santa arrives by firetruck at around 4pm. The excitement builds as the crowd counts down to when Santa flips the switch that lights up the trees for the holiday season.
If your business wants to be promoted as part of this community celebration, sponsorships are available at the Chamber website. This is the only place to register.
