Carlo Bacci for Reading Select Board

I am Carlo Bacci, a registered independent and believer in fiscal responsibility and accountability.

I live with my wife Erin Calvo-Bacci and our 3 daughters Abigail, Sarah and Sofia. In 1989 I graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Small Business Management then purchased my first business shortly after I graduated.

I am running for Select Board because I do not like the direction the Town is going in. When certain members of the current Select Board voted for a split tax rate despite more than 20 businesses pleaded with them not to, I was disappointed. It's a revenue neutral tax. Our business community gives thousands of dollars to our schools, non profits, and countless other charities. We can't afford more empty store fronts.

Relying on Prop. 2-1/2 overrides isn't a way to run town government; I pledge no operational overrides for the next 5 years.

I have negotiated commercial leases and business contracts for small and large companies, teaching me to listen and hear both sides. I have learned from business success and failures and will bring experience and diversity to the Select Board. Please vote for me Carlo Bacci for Select Board on Tuesday April 2, thank you.
