This month only! Inspired by our Big Read title The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri, Reading Public Library has added Parcheesi to drop in chess. Derived from Pachisi, the Royal Game of India, Parcheesi is a board game for two to four players. Everyone is welcome to join in a game. Volunteers will be on hand to teach beginners. Ages 10 & under must be accompanied by an adult.
The drop-in program continues the third Saturday of each month at 3:00 p.m. Please call the Library at 781-944-0840 for more information.
The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
