Spring Events Include Church Re-Dedication and Concert

READING, Mass. – Church of the Good Shepherd is a warm and welcoming Episcopal Church located at the corner of Woburn and Chute Streets in Reading. All are invited to worship.

UPCOMING EVENTS
First Communion – Class dates: April 23, April 30, May 7 and May 21 –Exploring the Eucharist classes start in April during Sunday School (each Sunday at 10:00 AM). All children in second grade and above who wish to participate and are ready for Communion instruction are welcome. On Pentecost Sunday, June 4th, we will celebrate their First Communion. Please email Trish Leyne for further details and to register for classes.
ALS Walk in Worcester – Saturday, April 29th at 11:00 AM (Registration: 9:00 AM) – Come and join our church in supporting a cure for ALC by participating in the 2017 ALS Walk in Worcester. Church of the Good Shepherd is walking in support of fellow parishioner, Linda Hank. Good Shepherd Sunday / Church Concert – Sunday, May 7th at 5:00 PM – Join us in celebrating “Good Shepherd Sunday” with an evening of festive Easter music as we bless and re-dedicate our newly restored church organ. Organist Mark Meyer from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Newburyport will be our featured organist. There will also be performances by the Rev. Brian Raiche on organ and Loren Lee on violin. Music Director Alice Johnson Hannon will perform a solo and will lead our parish musicians in the celebration. In addition, a combined choir from St. Paul’s of Newburyport, Trinity Church of Haverhill, and Church of the Good Shepherd of Reading will feature John Rutter’s “The Lord is My Shepherd.” All are welcome to celebrate in this very musical evening!
