District to Dedicate Library Media Center to Late Superintendent

Ceremony scheduled for next Thursday.

The following release was sent to us by the Reading Public Schools department.

On Thursday, November 17, 2011, the Reading School Committee and the Reading School Department will formally dedicate the Library Media Center at Reading Memorial High School in memory of former Superintendent Pat Schettini.  The ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Schettini Library Media Center, immediately preceding the second night of our fall town meeting.  Community members are invited and encouraged to attend.

Late last year, after adopting a facility naming policy, the Reading School Committee accepted nominations from the community for the naming of its facilities.  In response to a nomination submitted by Mrs. Linda Snow-Dockser, the School Committee voted in February to name the RMHS Library Media Center, the Patrick A. Schettini, Jr. Library Media Center.
