UPDATED: Dockser, Landry Win Seats On Reading Select Board

Incumbent Barry Berman comes in fourth place as 18.3 percent of town voters turn out.

The following includes updated and official vote totals from town officials

Anne Landry and Mark Dockser won seats on the Reading Select Board Tuesday, handing incumbent Barry Berman a surprising loss.

Landry won the race with 1,984 votes followed by Dockser with 1,475. Carlo Bacci was third with 1,311 votes followed by Berman's 1,191. Peter Kramer finished fifth with 544 votes. There were 778 blank ballots.

18.3 percent of registered voters turned out at the Reading Memorial High School Fieldhouse.

In the race for two seats on the School Committee, Chuck Robinson won re-election with 2,161 votes, and will be joined by Tom Wise, who finished with five less votes at 2,156. Patricia Calley was third with 1,377 votes.

John Parks won the two-year seat with 2,178 votes.

In other races, Alan Foulds was unopposed in his run for moderator and received 2,649 votes. John Brzezenski and Cherrie Dubois were returned to the Board of Library Trustees. Phil Pacino and Phil Talbot won their seats for the Municipal Light Board.
