Two Days Left To Fill Out RCTV Survey
Answer a few cable questions and you could win your own "quadcopter."

Ideally, Reading residents will take the two surveys on the town website because we care about our town. You may have heard about the surveys, one created by the Board of Selectmen to help decide the future of a potential Prop 2 1/2 override vote, the other, one of the requirements for the Cable television franchise contract renewal process.
You shouldn't need a bribe to do either but just in case, RCTV has one. Do the survey and fill in your name and you could win a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced Quadcopter, a $699 value. If you're like me, the inducement was unexpected and unnecessary. And just what is a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced Quadcopter? And why the "advanced" version? A DJI Phantom 3 Quadcopter isn't enough? Why not a simple gift card to a fine Reading restaurant?
Turns out the Quadcopter is a drone. I've never felt the need to have a drone, although the thought of chasing the rabbits that dine in my vegetable garden is intriguing. Cleary I need help.

As for the surveys themselves, they were easy, with the Prop 2 1/2 override survey taking me 3 minutes to complete, the cable survey 16 minutes. There was a lot of grumbling about the town leading up to the October 2016 override vote. The Selectmen want to get it right this time and the survey is, as board vice-chair Barry Berman explained, "a first step." Same goes, I assume, for the folks at RCTV.
So take 20 minutes, log on, and answer a few questions. And btw, the Quadcopter comes with a 2-hour flight training class.
