Michael holds five degrees from the University of RI- three bachelors degrees in Botany, Biology & Classics and two masters degrees - M.S. in Pharmacognosy/Natural Product Chemistry and M.A. in Education, as well as his Ph.D candidacy in Pharmaceutical Sciences (ABD). He is presently editing his first book about Rhode Island's History & Colonial Ancestry, and has begun writing and illustrating his second book, a reference Encyclopedia of Plant Families & Their Medicinal Attributes.
