All proceeds benefit our B.E.A.K.E.R Program which purchases science equipment for Reading Elementary Schools.

Below are just a few examples of the items we can accept for environmentally safe recycling and their pricing. Anything with a cord and not listed will be accepted and price will be determined at the time of drop off. 

CASH ONLY PLEASE

 $5 Fill a Shoebox: iPods (and accessories), Cell Phones,Remotes,Chargers, Cords/Cables,Mouse

 $5 Per Item: Keyboards,DVD Players,VCR's,Small Micowaves,Toaster Oven,Vacuums,Camera/video/audio equipment

$10 Per Item: CPU's (hard drives will be shredded, Monitors, Laptops, Copier/Printer/Fax, Flat Screens, Large TV's,Large Microwaves, Stereos, Dehumidifier,Washer/Dryer,Refrigerator/Freezer

$20 Per Item: Projection TV's,Hot Water Heaters(drained of ALL water),Lawn Mower and Snow Blowers(drained of fuel and oil)

We CANNOT accept oils, paints, thinners, batteries, tires, mercury containing items such as florescent and CFL light bulbs, thermometers or any hazardous waste. 

The Young Women’s League of Reading, Inc. is a charitable organization whose mission is to coordinate fund-raising, social and civic events in Reading. In the past five years, the group has raised and returned to the community more than $50,000. All funds raised are disbursed annually among local community groups, foundations, organizations and families in need.
